About the Department:
The English Department of Kotshila Mahavidyalaya has been an integral part of the college since the beginning of its journey in 2010. It is a known fact that the students of Purulia district find the English language difficult. However the English Department of our college consistently strives to increase the awareness and interest of the students in both English language and literature. The students of the department also make the effort to actively participate in the various cultural activities of the college such as the Youth Parliament, Quiz Competitions etc. The department is also proud to possess a well - stocked library that has various books on literature and social history.
